We carry out numerous projects on retail premises, these premises are more often than not live premises where there is an interface with the public, such as banks, supermarkets and shopping centres for example.

At Summit we understand this and the potential risks that this can bring.

We pride ourselves in our innovative approach and offer our clients bespoke solutions to these projects, such as pedestrian tunnels using Layher Protect panels to ensure a professional scaffold solution suited to the project to allow members of the public safe access, We can also provide encapsulation with branding upon it to lower the impact to passing trade of the works being carried out.

Public safety is at the forefront of the planning stage of these projects and we endeavour when possible to carry the works out of normal working hours if permitted, all works are thoroughly planned and risk assessed ensuring sufficient exclusion zones are in place to protect the public from the works. Our teams carry out regular point of works risk assessments throughout each shift as the working environment can change to ensure exclusion zones are sufficient and works can be carried out safely.
